Unbundled Dedicated Trunk Ports
Overview
An unbundled dedicated trunk port is a switch termination on a Frontier switch (i.e., end office, Traffic Operator Position System [TOPS] or Operator Services Position System [OSPS]) dedicated to the use of the CLEC in its provisioning of local exchange and associated exchange access services. The unbundled dedicated trunk port serves as the interconnection point between the Frontier unbundled switch and the CLEC's collocation arrangement.
Description
An unbundled dedicated trunk port is a switch termination on a Frontier switch (i.e., end office, Traffic Operator Position System [TOPS] or Operator Services Position System [OSPS]) dedicated to the use of the CLEC in its provisioning of local exchange and associated exchange access services. The unbundled dedicated trunk port serves as the interconnection point between the Frontier unbundled switch and the CLEC's collocation arrangement.
The unbundled dedicated trunk port includes associated signaling and transmission options. Trunks established on an unbundled dedicated trunk port are established as direct, final routes and do not allow for traffic to overflow onto Frontier's shared IOF network.
Availability
Unbundled Dedicated Trunk Ports are available throughout the Frontier Footprint.
